About Jim Menick
Jim Menick is the head forensics coach at Hendrick Hudson High School. He began coaching in 1996, when his daughter Katie was still on the team. Menick's primary employment is as Executive Editor of Reader's Digest Select Editions.
Menick is an acting director of the Metro-Hudson League, which is dedicated to providing tournaments for first- and second-year students in LD, policy and Public Forum. Although he used to judge everywhere all the time, mostly nowadays you'll find him in tab rooms. He is also a member of the board of the New York State Debate Coaches Association.
Menick is the author of the novel Lingo, plus some long out-of-print how-to programming books. He has written for a variety of magazines on computer and publishing subjects. His From Caveman to Frenchman, a history of art in aid of explaining postmodernism, is notorious for its combination of insight and disinformation.
